Is a VDS the same as a virtual server?

Yes. At Makdos, VDS and virtual server are the same service under two different names. The packages on this page are identical to the packages on our virtual server page.

What is the difference between VDS and VPS?

At Makdos, VPS is a separate service. VPS is an entry layer that balances control and cost, and it runs on SAS SSD storage. Will I have root/administrator access on my VDS server?

Yes. You get full access to your server with root privileges on Linux installations and administrator privileges on Windows installations; you can install any software you want.

How long does it take for my VDS server to be delivered?

Once your payment is approved, your server is usually set up within a few minutes and the access details are sent to you.

Can I increase the resources of my VDS package later?

Yes. You can increase CPU, RAM, disk space and network speed whenever you need to. You do not have to set the server up from scratch.

Where are your servers located?

Our servers are hosted in our 3 data centers in Türkiye, on our own autonomous system (AS212301). We do not offer locations outside Türkiye.

Which payment methods can I use?

Are prices VAT inclusive?

Should I get a VDS or a dedicated server?

What Is a VDS? (Virtual Dedicated Server)

A VDS server, short for Virtual Dedicated Server, is a server service created by dividing a physical server with virtualization technology, with its resources allocated to you. You get your own operating system, your own administrator privileges and your own resource pool; you connect to the server just as if it were a physical machine and install any software you like.

"VDS server" and "virtual server" are two names for the same service at Makdos. The industry uses the name "VDS" to emphasise that resources are not shared; on this page we describe the product in VDS terms.
